The Porsche Boxster is a mid-engined two-seater roadster built by Porsche. The Boxster is Porsche’s first road vehicle to be originally designed as a roadster since the 550 Spyder.
The first-generation Boxster (the 986) was introduced in late 1996; it was powered by a 2.5-litre flat six-cylinder engine. The design was heavily influenced by the 1992 Boxster Concept. In 2000, the base model was upgraded to a 2.7-litre engine and the new Boxster S variant was introduced with a 3.2-litre engine. In 2003, styling and engine output was upgraded on both variants.
Production of the 986 began at the former Porsche 928 facility in Stuttgart, Germany in 1996. Valmet Automotive also manufactured Boxsters under contract to Porsche at a facility in Uusikaupunki, Finland. The Boxster was Porsche’s biggest volume seller from its introduction in 1996 until the company introduced the Cayenne sport utility vehicle in 2003.

Finished in the quintessential shade of Arctic Silver, the paintwork still presents in superb condition and holds a deep shine – a testament to such low mileage. The black fabric hood is also free from any blemishes and works exactly as it should. This 986 Boxster looks every bit the part, and remains remarkable example of Porsches iconic, mid-engined affordable sports car.
Refined simplicity, this Boxster’s interior is driver focused and undeniably Porsche. The interior echoes the exterior condition with minimal signs of wear. There are no blemishes to any of the dash or switches, and no creasing or sagging to the vulnerable bolsters. The three spoke crested steering wheel remains unmarked and free from any unsightly scuffs.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Having been meticulously maintained throughout its low mileage life, this Boxster presents in perfect mechanical health and is ready to be enjoyed by its next custodian. The 5-Speed manual gearbox remains tight and precise, giving the driver an enthralling and very engaging driving experience.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
All of the five spoke alloys present in unmarked condition and are wrapped in Bridgestone S-02’s, all of which showing plenty of tread. Brake discs and pads show little signs of wear, yet another indication of its low mileage ownership.
First registered on 1st February 2002 by Porsche Centre Guernsey, this 986 Boxster has benefitted from conscientious ownership and servicing above and beyond manufactures recommendations. This car has a total of 13 service stamps in the maintenance logbook despite only covering 26,711 miles! Evidence of regular brake fluid and oil changes are also present within the history file.
The full leather document pack is also supplied with all the manuals and owners guides as well as the spare key.
