The Lotus Elise first appeared in 1996 and revolutionised small sports car design with its lightweight extruded aluminium chassis and composite body. There have been many variations, but the basic principle remain the same.
The latest updates, made in 2011, have included new headlights and tail-lights, improved aerodynamics and new alloy wheel designs.
The Elise S Club Racer is a mixture of the two most exciting Elises on sale, the stripped-out Club Racer and the supercharged S.

Perhaps one of the greatest automotive success stories of the 20th century, the Lotus Elise was all about creating a race car experience for the road. In it’s latest evolution the car still undoubtedly looks the part whether in the paddock or the pub car park.
This particular example is finished in the popular special order Toxic Green with contrasting satin black detail. Presentation is largely faultless – a consistent and well presented example in keeping with the low mileage. Lights are clear, crack and moisture free whilst mirrors and trims are undamaged.
The visual theatre continues inside with seat shells and gearbox tunnel given the special order treatment. Fitted with both AC, an Alpine Radio and Comfort pack this is more your full fat specification, with long range Touring in mind alongside shorter Sunday blasts or Track work.
The cabin space is unmarked, with only the pedals betraying any signs of use. Seats and switch gear exhibit almost zero wear whilst the thick sills are scratch and damage free.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The supercharged 1.8 litre engine is superbly matched to the athletic dynamics with character right across the rev range. The TRD air box coaxes some aural drama without spoiling affairs, while torque is both linear and plentiful making the balance for road and track just right.
The 6 speed gearbox is a delight, with a perfectly weighted & positive shift.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The 12 spoke wheels present in Satin black and a wrapped in the correct Yokohama rubber.
Brakes are simply sublime with excellent bite, feel and ease of modulation.
Registered in December of 2014 by Oakmere Lotus, this special order Club Racer has been serviced by the supplying dealer in ’15, ’16 and ’17.
The original book pack comes complete with stamped service book, whilst Spare keys and Alpine stereo manual complete the file.
