First introduced in October 2000 the E46 M3 featured an all new 3.2L M-tuned engine. The engine had the highest specific naturally aspirated output ever made by BMW at the time producing 343bhp and 365 NM. Praised by press, the S54 engine redlines at a high 8000 rpm and breaths its oxygen through 6 independent throttle bodies electronically operated resulting in immediate responsive from the high revving power unit.
Available as a coupe or convertible the E46 was offered with a 6 speed manual Getrag gearbox or an optional SMG drivelogic gearbox (a standard 6 speed gearbox with an electro hydraulically actuated clutch pedal).

This striking M3 is finished in Individual Estoril Blue which accentuates the car perfectly. The paintwork retains a deep glossy shine all round, presenting free from any blemishes this M3 looks sublime. The dark blue soft top is in excellent condition and working order, folding away quickly and neatly with a push of the interior button. The car also comes with the very desirable hard top which is in immaculate condition.
Inside the cabin you are met with an interior that presents in keeping with this M3′s fastidious ownership and low mileage. The leather seats remain supple and soft to the touch whilst the susceptible bolsters show in excellent condition with no marks or scuffs to report. The dash and door cards are in excellent condition and the multifunction steering wheel presents blemish free.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The straight 6 S54 motorsport engine is a technical masterpiece with exceptional performance and a buzz saw engine note, all whilst delivering respectable economy. The car drives incredibly well and remains tight and commensurate with its low mileage.
The SMG II gearbox offers considerations for both cruising and more spirited driving and operates exactly as it should with no clutch slur or hesitation.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
This E46 has the desirable 19″ alloys, correctly finished with a diamond cut face and dark anthracite insert. All four alloys present immaculately and are wrapped in Continental ContiSportContact tyres, all of which show plenty of tread.
This M3 was first registered in April of 2006 and has clearly benefitted from meticulous ownership throughout its life. The running in check was completed at 832 miles and the subsequent service history is all BMW main dealer. An incredible 8 service stamps are present in the original service book at the following intervals: 12k, 14k, 18k, 21k, 26k, 25k, 26k and 35k.
